about

Struggling financially in a touring band is a really tough situation. Well...I guess that struggling financially is really just a tough situation, period. Any problems with money can make you think about the "haves and have-nots," and the crazy thing is how much excess we really have in western society. Even when we're having money problems and considering ourselves as poor, we're very wealthy compared to the rest of the planet. There are people everywhere in this world that literally have next to nothing, and most times we're content to do nothing but sing songs, attend "awareness" events, or just sit and think about how nice it would be for things to be better. Change cannot really be accomplished without action, though, and it's a responsibility that never fades away. We get one life to live, one chance to change the world around us. Time waits for no man, and time won't turn back.
(see what I did there?)

lyrics

Another moment slips away, then the moments turn to days.
When every hand is turned away from
the ones who fade into the night,
away from pockets sealed so tight.
Kept out of mind and out of sight.
We refuse to face the truth that
beggars line our "streets of gold."

We're making a change.
The world is waiting.
There's blood on our hands,
and time won't turn back.

So will we ever right the wrong,
or be content to sing along?
Yeah what we do could change it all.
We refuse to face the truth that
beggars line our "streets of gold."

We're making a change.
The world is waiting.
There's blood on our hands,
and time won't turn back.

Time won't turn back.

Is our behavior the result of a distraction,
or will we choose again to let this one slide?
Their lives...to slide?
'Cause time won't turn back.
Time won't turn back.

Time won't turn back.

We're making a change.
The world is waiting.
There's blood on our hands,
and time won't turn back.
